Savera joined Kahane Law Office as an Associate in June 2016. As a Family Lawyer, she believes it is important to connect with the client and put their mind to ease so as to allow for the smooth running
of client-lawyer relationship. With the added advantage of being fluent in Urdu and Hindi languages, she has always been able to better connect with these clients resulting in greater client satisfaction. As a mother, she understands the emotional roller-coaster ride a client is going through when fighting for custody or child support and this allows her to assist them better during the difficult time.
After graduating from law school in Pakistan on Dean Honour’s List, Savera received the Grotius Fellowship Award to pursue Master in Law (LL.M.) at University of Michigan, U.S.A. After completing her LL.M., she moved to Calgary in 2012 and found her home here. She received the Certificate of Qualification from National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) in 2013. She split her articles between a sole practitioner with an exclusive focus on Family Law and a predominantly Real Estate law firm. She was called to the Alberta Bar in 2014. She is an active volunteer with CLERC.
