Kaitlynd Stewart: Litigation Lawyer

Kaitlynd Stewart

Kaitlynd Stewart joined Kahane Law Office’s litigation team in 2022. She maintains a general civil litigation practice with a keen interest in guardianship and trusteeship applications. Kaitlynd articled with a boutique estate litigation firm and with Kahane Law office, prior to agreeing to join as an associate with the firm.

Kaitlynd was born in Edmonton and moved to Kelowna with her family in 2008.

In 2017, she graduated from the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in psychology. Alongside one of her professors, Kaitlynd researched and published a paper on youth homelessness, and the resources that are available to them.

Prior to law school, Kaitlynd was an active volunteer in her community. She was a volunteer leader with the Girl Guides of Canada for several years and volunteered with youth at a summer in the Okanagan for five years.

In 2018, she returned to Edmonton to attend law school at the University of Alberta. During law school, Kaitlynd was involved in extracurricular activities. She volunteered with Student Legal Services, an organization that assists the low-income population with their legal issues. She also participated in Law Show as a dancer. Law Show is an annual production at the University of Alberta that raises money for charities.

Outside of the practice of law, Kaitlynd loves spending time outdoors, including hiking in the mountains and snowshoeing in the winter. She tries new activities, and recently started bouldering at local climbing studios in her down time. Kaitlynd is new to the city of Calgary and has enjoyed exploring what the city has to offer, including visiting restaurants and breweries.
