Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our corporate law practice by handling a variety of legal and administrative tasks, maintaining compliance, and facilitating excellent client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and register incorporations, extra-provincial registrations, and other corporate filings.
  • Coordinate and manage changes of address, changes of directors/shareholders, and related updates.
  • Maintain and organize minute books, corporate resolutions, and other documentation.
  • Liaise directly with clients to collect necessary information, ensure compliance, and address inquiries.
  • Monitor filing deadlines and ensure timely submissions.
  • Conduct due diligence and maintain corporate records.
  • Collaborate with lawyers and other team members to support corporate transactions and processes.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma/certificate in paralegal studies, legal assistant training, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate law.
  • Proficiency in CORES, must be Level 2 or higher.
  • Strong understanding of corporate legal procedures and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
