Ken Flowers

Ken Flowers joined us in the beginning of 2018. Prior to, Ken was a partner in the Calgary office of a western Canada based law firm until his retirement at the end of December, 2017. Mr. Flowers is a senior counsel to Kahane Law focusing on corporate commercial matters. Ken acts for a variety of clients in a wide range of industries including, banking and financing matters, equipment leasing, purchase and sale of businesses, franchising matters, shareholder agreements and commercial real estate matters.

Mr. Flowers received his LLB from the University of Western Ontario in 1988 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1990. Following graduation, Ken practiced corporate commercial law in Toronto for several years, a portion of which was spent as an Associate General Counsel for the then second largest asset based finance company in the world. Ken moved to Calgary at the end of 1996 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 1997. Until recently, Ken also practiced corporate commercial law in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and was a member of those bars. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ken was a lender at a Schedule A bank.

Ken is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and a number of industry organizations. Over the years he has spoken at various conferences on banking, insolvency and corporate matters and served on a number of committees. When not working, Ken enjoys skiing, cycling and other sports and, most of all, spectating at sporting events involving his children.
